Yurt Glamping Amongst the Wilderness at Cledan Valley in Mid Wales

* This post is in collaboration with Cledan Valley. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

I've posted about Cledan Valley before, both on my Instagram and the blog, so you may be familiar with this magical place! Cledan Valley is a 'glamping' site situated in Mid Wales, not far from Snowdonia National Park. I recently discovered the site had been taken over by new owners after the previous owners decided to retire. I was so relieved because I thought it had gone forever (cry!) last summer when I found the website was down and I couldn't get in touch with anybody. I quickly made an enquiry as soon as I came across the new website and, thankfully, the new owners, Karen and Russ, confirmed that they had indeed taken on Cledan Valley, making some improvements, but being careful to preserve the magic and untouched nature of the Mid Wales surroundings.

Driving Iceland and The Golden Circle - Part 1

Golden Circle Roadtrip Iceland

If you follow me on Instagram, you already know I've recently been to Iceland because I may or may not have posted a few photos... It's a place I've always wanted to visit (who doesn't?) and I can safely say it was a dream trip. I've never seen so much dramatic and ever changing scenery all in one place.

A Break from Renovations at Sheffield Botanical Gardens

All the work we're doing on our house is really taking it's toll. Hyper-aware of how privileged we are to own our own house, it's hard wrestling with the emotions and stress that come from doing such a large scale renovation, but not wanting to seem like I'm complaining or ungrateful. It just really is hard work. It feels like every task we undertake, another problem rears it's head. We're still living in one room, with no kitchen. Although, at the time of writing, the kitchen should actually be installed today! Then it's time to do the floor, painting, tiling etc. before we can say it's FINISHED. I have a bottle of Taittinger Rose champagne for that day...

We Are Now Homeowners and It Is Terrifying

The master bedroom gets so much light

WE BOUGHT A HOUSE. Over the last week, we've stripped approximately 92758 square metres of woodchip wallpaper and pulled up carpets possibly older than both our ages combined. We are exhausted, have black bogies from all the dust and grazed knuckles from stripping 90% of the woodchip and textured wallpaper, but it's ours. Adulting hard. Pow.

How to Deal with Negativity from Strangers Online

How to Deal with Online Negativity from Strangers

If you're under the age of 30, chances are you've been using the internet and social media as a part of your everyday life since way back when. Our generation has grown up surrounded by advances in technology and increased digitalisation. I remember my first desktop PC, complete with Windows 95, handed down to me by my cousin...

Glamping at Camp Katur in the Magical Woodland Hide Unidome

Glamping at Camp Katur in the Magical Woodland Hide Unidome

It's May - how did that happen already?! I feel like April marked a change in the seasons. As wet and snowy as it's been at times, I felt like we could finally bid farewell to what felt like an eternal winter. Me and Josh have been day tripping every weekend lately and I'm feeling so much more energised.

Are You Using Organic During Your Time Of The Month?

Are You Using Organic Cotton Tampon and Pads During Your Time Of The Month?

If you know me, or have been reading my blog since last year, you know that I tend to talk about women's reproductive health. Hormones, fertility, periods, ovulation - I love it all. Nothing is TMI for me and I reject the notion that talking about periods is taboo or shameful. We need to own it and be able to have conversations with our friends, mums, sisters and colleagues in order to establish healthy, open dialogue and body literacy.

Planning a wedding is supposed to be one of the most stressful life events we can experience. It's up there with moving house, illness, death and job loss. And do you really think you're going to look back and remember the seating plan you spent weeks agonising over?
